Here’s how local moms helped their youngsters pass the time at home

January and February marked frigid and

snow-covered months in the tri-states, with school delays, early dismissals and consecutive snow days.

We asked moms on our Her — A Magazine for Women Facebook page how they were helping their kiddos pass the time. Here’s what they shared with us:

“We’re spending time the best way: Playing in the snow.” — Beth Stetcher, Dubuque.

“Watching ‘Groundhog Day,’ ironically enough. Feels like it with all these snow days. Also, playing the game, LOL Surprise.” — Mandy Diercks,

Kieler, Wis.

“We were juicing carrots, celery, oranges and kale!” — Nikki Droessler, Dubuque.

“Checking off a list of arts and crafts projects from my Pinterest board titled, ‘Fun for Kids!’”

— Kristina Casteneda, Dubuque.

“Service project for Love Your Melon hats.” — Laura Chandlee, Dubuque.

“Box fort time.” — Elizabeth Noon-Shade, Dubuque.
